Peggy Schmidt has been a fashionista since the day she got her first patent leather purse to hold her chiclets and church collection money. Confident in herself and her style, for years she was the person in the orange dress in a room full of black and grey suits. Then one day it happened - She Retired!

Now what was she going to wear? What was she going to do with her closet full if clothes? Could she still be fashionable but with a more casual flair? “Yes!” she exclaimed. Her new style would be RetirementChic!

No stranger to the written word, Peggy is the author of “Tails of the Afterlife - True Stories of Ghost Pets” and “Ghosts of the Outer Banks” both available through Schiffer Publishing. She is the co-author of the book “What Corgis Do On Vacation” and the advice blog “Ask Mr. Smart T. Pants”.

She hopes this blog will give you some fun fashion tips, make you smile and help you feel great about yourself. Or you can just go out and buy yourself a cute pair of shoes!
