The Ears Have It

Recently I was watching one of the shopping channels and noticed how all the promoters looked so put together even though they just had on a sweatshirt and jeans. What did they all have in common - great earrings!

Last week while we were at the beach we went over to a friend’s cottage for Happy Hour. I noticed that everyone there had upgraded their outfit from just shorts and a tee to something just a little nicer. But what did everyone have on? Interesting earrings.

A friend once told me that she always wears earrings to the beach. I thought that was crazy until one day when I forgot to take mine off. They looked great with my beach coverup and hat. So while I take them off when I go in the water, they make a great statement when I am just lounging in my chair reading a new book.

There are several great things about earrings. They come in all shapes and sizes so there will be some that look great on you. Earrings have different price points. You can have beautiful sapphire ones or ones that you bought at the flea market. Since they are at different price points you can experiment with the latest style or just stay conservative but stylish with a pair of hoops. And even hoops come in different sizes! You can change your look completely with a pair of earrings. Think about how each outfit would look if you paired it with a different pair featured above. And best of all you do not have to be a certain age to wear them. If you are seven or seventy there is a pair of earrings for you.
