One Piece Can Say Spring

This week I had to make an unplanned trip to one of those emergency centers. It seems I lost the battle between me and the poison ivy. Before I left I changed out of my gardening clothes to something more presentable. But I was nervous, itchy and could feel my blood pressure rising.

Once there the very kind staff commented about my bag. “The color was great.” “It looked like Spring.” “It was so happy.” And while I wasn’t feeling happy, when I looked at my bag I realized the comments were so true.

One of the first signs of Spring to me is the switchover from the dark handbags of winter to the bright and fun colors of Spring. Gone are the black and greys and “Hello” to Kelly Green and Robin Egg Blue. It immediately lifts my spirits and gets me to thinking about blooming flowers, warm weather and bright blue skies. And it was apparent that day that if lifted the spirits of those around me as well.

So if you are thinking of purchasing a bag this Spring, pick out one in a bright, happy color. Ask yourself, “Does this color make me smile?” And if it does, make sure that bag comes home with you.
