Slap Your Own Racks

When the seasons change it is the perfect time to shop your closet and imagine the ways you can now use your clothes to reflect your new lifestyle.

It costs nothing to mix and match pieces you may not have thought to put together. For example a denim jacket with a skirt and sneakers. Or a classic sweater and scarf with jeans. How about mixing patterns? Or layering a variety of pieces? There are so many options that you may not have explored because they did not fit into your work “uniform”. Now is the time to try it.

And you can take as much time as you want to. You don’t have to worry about using a dressing room for too long or tying up a salesperson’s time.

When you create some outfits that you want to wear, group them together or take a picture of them. This way you can remember how you styled it. Be sure to include accessories like sunglasses, scarves and necklaces. Experiment and have fun.

If you do come across an item that really does not fit into your new lifestyle, donate it. Space in your closet should be considered valuable real estate.

I love closet changeover time. Just like spring it offers a sense of renewal and excitement. It is fun to see old favorites and identify what I might need to pick up. Plus I don’t have a spend a dime in my store and that is a big bonus! So go “Slap Your Own Racks Today” you will find it is the best store in town.
