Flamingoes

Every season I love to explore fashion websites and Pinterest to see what will be featured that year. Imagine my surprise and bewilderment when I saw for Fall 2021 one of the categories was “Flamingoes”.

What I first envisioned was people wearing pink or white boas and lots of outfits with feathers. What I saw was beautiful combinations of fuchsia and black that absolutely lit up the runways.

So I decided to do some “flamingoes” on my own to see how that color combination could be brought into Retirement Chic options. As you can see, you can use a lot or a little of it. Either way it is sure to enliven any outfit especially as we move into the darker days of winter.

One more thing on flamingoes - they are everywhere for the holidays! Christmas ornaments, lights and garland featuring flamingoes with Santa hats are already in the stores.

And don’t forget about Halloween! You can turn your plastic flamingo into a buzzard with some spray paint and that white boa.

So it is time to go shop your closet again and try out that flamingo combination. You will be surprised at how great you look sans feathers.
